Teresa Mueller is Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at BrandSafway, a global provider of access and specialized services to the construction industry. Beyond her legal career, Teresa has a deep passion for travel, education, and creating opportunities for children to experience other cultures.
In 2010, Teresa founded the Verona Area International School (VAIS), a Chinese immersion elementary school within the Verona Area School District near Madison, Wisconsin. She served as President and held other leadership roles on the school’s governing body for many years. During her tenure, she helped shape the school’s growth and direction, including hiring teachers, developing curriculum, sourcing educational materials, and overseeing the school budget.
Teresa’s commitment to cross-cultural education extends beyond the classroom. Together with Bing, she has organized several educational trips to China for VAIS families, creating opportunities for students and parents to experience Chinese culture firsthand. These memorable journeys have included climbing the Great Wall, feeding red pandas, learning to cook Sichuan cuisine, and participating in authentic tai chi lessons.
Through her professional leadership, educational advocacy, and love of travel, Teresa is passionate about connecting people across cultures and creating meaningful learning experiences for children and families.
